EXAM DATE PHASES

1st Phase to 7th Phase Exam

The exam schedule notification for RRB NTPC 2020 Stage 1 has been released on 1st December 2020. According to the officials, the Railway Recruitment Board is going to conduct the NTPC (Non-technical Popular categories) recruitment exam from 28th December 2020 to March 2021. RRB NTPC 2020: CBT 1 6th phase running & Admit Card Out also. The 6th phase starting on 1st April 2021.

Why different phases for RRB NTPC?

The total number of candidates is approx 1.25 crores. This is a large number of candidates so it’s not possible to conduct the exam on the same day also the covid-19 situation playing a big role here thus why RRB scheduled their exam process into different phases. So almost 5 phases will be held till March 2021. The RRB official released a notification on the exam date phases also. In their notification, they told

The 1st Stage CBT will be held in multiple phases in order to ensure adherence to all the Covid-19 guidelines for the large number of eligible candidates (approx. 1.25 crores). The first phase of the Exam is scheduled for 23 lakh candidates approx. to be held from 28.12.2020 to 13.01.2021 in various cities all over the country.

RRB NTPC 2019 (CEN 01/2019) total 7 phases the exam will conduct. 6th phase starting from 1st April 2021.

EXAM RELATED NOTIFICATION

RRB has released a notice on the exam schedule for CBT-1 (CEN 01/2019) NTPC (Non-technical popular categories). The exam will be conducted in different phases. The total number of candidates is 1.25 crores and the first phase of the Exam is scheduled for 23 lakh candidates approx. to be held from 28.12.2020 to 13.01.2021 and the remaining eligible candidates will be scheduled in subsequent phases.

Exam Pattern

The exam will conducted into 5 stages those are

  • CBT 1 (Computer-based test) Those who qualify for CBT 1, are eligible to enter the process of CBT 2 (40% marks required to qualify )
  • CBT 2 (Computer-based test) Those who qualify for CBT 2, are eligible to enter the process of Aptitude test or typing skill test (Merit list is depending on this test)
  • Typing Skill Test ( Minimum 30 words per minute (English) and 25 words per minute (Hindi) typing speed ability is required ) This is also a computer-based test.

VACANCIES

A total of 35,208 vacancies will be filled through RRB NTPC 2020 exam. The notification was released in 2019 and the exam was scheduled to be conducted between June and September. But the process is delayed due to the non-finalization of the exam conducting agency and COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

Only a graduate degree from recognized university or equivalent. For the typist post typing proficiency in Hindi/English on computer is required.
